Hastings Community Foundation’s KEY SOCIETY offers a unique opportunity to be involved in community giving!

By contributing a little, we can do a lot! That's why the HCF started the Key Society in 2003. By combining resources, Key Society members create or grow projects that improve the quality of life in Hastings.

Community Projects are what the Key Society does! Our projects have included:

$100,000 to expand inclusive playground at Crosier Park
YMCA Building Campaign ($75,000)
Splash Pad at Lib’s Park ($140,000)
Great Room (multi-purpose room) at YWCA ($50,000)
Lincoln Park pavilion ($80,000)

The Key society was awarded the “Benefits Are Endless Award” from the Nebraska Recreation and Park Association for the project.

INCLUSIVE PARK - The Key Society contributed $100,000 to expand the playground equipment at Crosier Park.

LINCOLN PARK PAVILION - The lighted shelter provides a shady spot for birthday parties, family reunions, picnics and a pleasant lunch break from work.

SPLASH PAD - The coolest way to cool down in the summer is the Splash Pad at Lib’s Park. The project was fully funded by Key Society.

THE GREAT ROOM - This Key Society Great Room at the YWCA provides space for youth, family, and community gatherings and conferences.

WHAT WILL BE THE KEY SOCIETY’S NEXT PROJECT?

It all depends on you!

We are inviting everyone to join the Key Society. Our goal is to have 250 families, individuals and businesses will donate $250 to get our next high impact project off the ground. A committee of Key Society members will decide what the new project(s) will be. The more Key Society families we have, the bigger impact we can make.

-Membership is open to anyone who cares about Hastings

-Membership cost is $250 a year

-One membership fee covers your entire household or business

-You can also purchase a membership as a thoughtful and unique gift for anyone who cares about improving Hastings.

-Under 40? You might be eligible for a reduced rate through our Key YP program.

Membership Benefits

Members have the opportunity to meet others who care about Hastings, learn about critical community needs, hear about innovative community projects and meet the leaders of our nonprofit organizations. Members will also receive Community Foundation publications. In addition, memberships are an excellent way to teach your family about charitable giving.
