The spirit of generosity was on full display as Give Hastings Day once again united the community, raising more than $1 million. The final total for the 13th annual event was a record-breaking $1,251,347. The previous record of $1,077,091 was set in 2024. The cumulative total for Give Hastings Day now exceeds $8.7 million.
Hosted by the Hastings Community Foundation, Give Hastings Day brought together 116 nonprofit organizations and more than 1,200 donors for an event focused on giving back and celebrating causes throughout Hastings and Adams County.
“The Give Day committee and our nonprofit partners work for months to plan this event,” said Dan Peters, executive director of the Hastings Community Foundation. “The incredible success we had tonight is a reminder of how our community works to take care of each other. From the nonprofits who provide essential services all year to the donors who stepped up to support them, we can all be proud of what we achieved together.”
The top earners of Give Hastings Day were Hastings Public Library ($132,957), Hastings Catholic Schools Foundation ($46,654), Salvation Army ($41,775), Hastings College ($36,408), and Crossroads Mission Avenue ($30,860).
The organizations with the most individual donors include Wellspring Pregnancy + Health Center (172), Start Over Rover (167), Prairie Loft Center (154), Hastings Catholic Schools Foundation (132), and Hastings Public Schools Foundation (129). Joshua’s House earned the “Rookie of the Year” prize by having 35 donors, the most of any organization participating in Give Hastings Day for the first time.
“Give Hastings Day includes prizes and leaderboards,” said Peters. “But the real story is collaboration. Give Day showcases nonprofits, donors, businesses, and volunteers all working side-by-side to build a community we are proud to call home.”
Give Day will return on Thursday, May 6, 2027. For more information, visit givehastings.org or hastingscommunityfoundation.org.
